Speedo dial help

Hi folks... my speedo dial needle rests on the max position after a spill, rather than the zero position? Its a standard speedo on EFIs that I have - nothing fancy. Does anyone know if it might be goosed based on this info, or whether there is a way to reset the needle some way? A how to would be good too... Ta!

It could be nothing more simple than needing a few taps on the glass, or even removing headlight and tapping the body with a screwdriver handle or similar. Note, I said tap not clout! 😉 I managed to short out a live wire the other day, (don't ask!) and the ammeter needle went right over to the right and stuck. A few taps on the glass and it returned to centre.

Drive fractured bent or just gubbed. Mine failed last week.
