Hi all, came to fit the timing cover on a dry run tonight, something has reared its head though, I will talk you through what I did, fitted the thrust spacers onto the idler spindles then fitted the idler gear follow by the other trust spacers put on the gasket followed by the cover. All well and good so far, go to the final fitting in with the screws and did them up result there a gap at the dist end to half way down. Took it all off checked everything same result so tried with out the inner spacer, same result so then tried without any spacers it fitted. OK so whats going wrong? its supposed to have these spacers.
