I just heard on the news that if Scotland goes with a yes vote the Union Jack will have to change, does this means I would have to scratch the Union Jacks off my Inter?

Hi Norm, not just off your bike but also off your national flag & the flags of every other country that has the union flag on it. Maybe also we can no longer use the GB registration plate on our vehicles as we will be the 'former' United Kingdom but I'm not sure F U K looks appropriate! REgards Mick.

Nobody asked us if we wanted scotland to break away from us. Very clever them politicians sometimes.

I guess it will be about five years before the first Mad Max type "Thunderdome" is built outside the ruins of Glasgow.

Can we start stamping 'MADE IN ENGLAND' on things again? They didn't seem to break like the newer stuff.

S'not a Union Jack unless it is flown from a ship, Norm, it is the Union Flag. As your Inter is English it ought to have a Cross of StGeorge, or, better still, an English Republic flag. Hopefully if we get rid of the Scots we may soon bin the freeloading Windors too!

Speaking as a Scot and a Brit, the whole referendum is a stupid idea - it is dividing both the nation and the union,, regardless of the outcome. Plus, the UK flag wont change - yes, it is made up of its cobstituent nations' flags at present, but it is too big a brand to change and doesn't *need* to represent the constituent nations, only the union. The nations all have individual flags to represent them separately.

They could slip in the colours of Wales to take up the vacant space.

Wales, being a principality, isnt a kingdom in the uk... hence no colours. Technically they are represented by the cross of st george. I will stop being political when my fork bits arrive and can get on my bike again ;)

Strangey, this was one of several Electra X models that suddenly appeared at the local Enfield dealers.

It seems they all come in regularly to go through this ritual, that only Electra X's are allowed, then they often go up for sale, thus the number in the showroom. The other bullets are not allowed these extra visits for stripdowns and have to wait until their usual service is due.
