Does any one know what the optimal gear change speeds are for the EFI 5 speed box? I usually go by engine note and road speed but I find that changing from 4th to 5th can sometimes be a bit of a problem. I normally change to 5th at about 75 km/h but the engine labours a little until it gets to 80 km/h plus. I don't really want to over rev the engine in fourth or am I being a bit to gentle? Any thoughts would be appreciated.

I can only say when the revs sound about right to you once you know your bike you will find the best combination, There are far too many variables to put a an exact figure on the rev limit as you have to consider weight wind gradient ECT.

Unless you go daft with the revs a few more is better than slogging the engine.
