EFI Fuel Leak

Hi All

My trusty 2011 Woodsman has sprung a leak, wheeled it out the garage today turned the ignition on and got covered in Fuel, its on the high pressure side of the fuel pump by the look of it I think from the plastic spigot.

Is that a part than can be replaced or is it a new fuel pump?

If its a fuel pump (expensive by the look of it) would it be worth considering a Carb conversion possibly not cheaper initially but hopefully reducing problems in the long run.

Cheers

Chris

Have you tried just replacing the fuel hose and using proper fuel line clamps? Mine burst last week and I feared the worst... pump-wise, but it was just a split line right at the end causing an alarming, but easily fixed leak.

Tip for changing the fuel line... access is a wee bit tight so take of the pump end first. Be very careful of splash - it is slightly pressurised in the pipe even when off. Wear glasses? Once the pump end is off, go to the right hand side of the bike spin the fuel line round as best as you can to get access to the clamp on the injector. That is the tricky, tight side :) Carefully line up the new clamps on replacement so that access is much better!!!

Well that's interesting just been and checked and there is a little drip of fuel from the end of the pipe but not the torrent I had this morning.

New fuel line on order from our hosts

Thanks for your help on this one (now in a much better mood than before)

Cheers
