Hello Folks,

First off, I'm a new enfield owner.. After trying out other 'sporty' bikes etc I sat on this and instantly fell in love with the machine! This is a question about the stock Carb on the Bull500 Electra X (2006). Is there anything I need to do to change the stockbox/intake? I was thinking of a BellMouth! I'm not sure if I need to step the carb up to something different or is it a simple disconnect the current airbox and slap on the BellMouth? (Could use the airbox as storage )

I was hoping for a small increase in performance as the air goes straight in, and the exhaust breaths straight out! (Just fitted a GoldStar) but even if it goes on as a visual improvement I don't mind that at all

I don't think there is much scope for tuning the original carb and you would no doubt need to if you were to fit a bellmouth. Besides if you were going to keep the airbox for storage then there wouldn't be much space to fit it or show it off. You may be better off fitting a new carb and fiddling with that as per our host's tune up kit.
