When I dismantled my rear rim on the fury, I noticed it had those tire or (rim) locks. Are those tire locks really needed?. as my interceptors didn't even have them.

Jassie, it depends on how you use the bike. The Fury was originally intended as a dirt bike and if used like this would have been run at lower tyre pressures. This is when the Security Bolts (as they were originally called by Dunlop, the makers,) would come into use as they prevent the tyre from creeping round the rim and tearing the valve stem out with disastrous results! At normal modern road pressures you won't need them. They do add to the original look though! Also Interceptors did have them, up to the Mk1A. REgards, Mark

Thanks mark, that clears up things. My interceptor is the mk1a and s2, so I did not see the security bolts.
