Thanks chaps. Didn't know that, obviously. Would have been helpful in the Handbook!
And it still sounds noisy.! But then I am used to the Triumph 675.

I've just sold my Electra X and am hoping to buy a new machine. On the test drive I, too, noticed that the engine sounds a bit "clicky" even though it has hydraulic tappets. What causes this?
