Well, it happens to us all with age they say. ;-) Seriously, the mirrors on my 2011 Bullet are getting looser each passing day. I've had a browse and there are a lot in Mr. H's catalogue to choose from but I don't want the same problem to arise again.
So, what does the collective recommend?

I find the bar-end mirrors perfect, whether bolt in or clamp in ones. They are fairly unobtrusive, look "period" and are easy to tighten up should they vibrate loose.

Bar end mirrors I use, but need to be "flicked" up when cutting through cars in hold-ups

Plumbers thread tape? Locking washer? Cheap solutions sometimes work...

I should have said that it's just the heads that are loose. I've tried everything from superglue, silicone etc. I might try dried Weetabix next as that stuff sets like concrete on dishes.

I can't help with the mirrors I'm afraid but your other problem can be helped these day with medication. However don't buy those expensive blue tablets but ask for it by its generic name of Medixadrupyn. It comes in tablet or liquid form should you want to pour yourself a stiff one.
