After a number of problems my Woodsman EFI is now totally sorted and flying. Early sprag clutch failure was replaced under warranty, as was a new petrol tank that had fractured - thumbs up to MotoGB for sorting things. A bust low fuel warning light, failed neutral sensor and a few other minor issues replaced and sorted. Have done 3 oil and filter changes, three chain adjustments and lubed everything. With Avon roadriders the road holding is excellent and the bike more than holds its own on accleration, braking and comfort. Sorted, eventually. And the sports bike made mechanic in my local shop took it out today and put his thumbs up. Must be because I ripped past a Ducati. I doubt I will go back to a Triumph, or indeed anything else. Would love to get a late model ES carb classic when funds permit. Oh, and a GT.

I couldn't agree more, a Woodsman is very addictive and certainly puts a smile on your face! There can't be that many out there and we have got three of them between us. If your bike develops an annoying engine speed related buzzing, check the bash plate. The rubber on the rear mounting on mine had worn, allowing slight movement which was enough to make the noise. It took ages to locate, but it is now sorted. I'm off to North Wales on mine next week to do some around Britain Rally landmarks - Happy riding!

I should clarify it only has 1800 miles on the clock but I have deliberately done an interim oil change at about 800 (well worth it given the amount of swarf on the magnetic sump plug) and yesterday at 1800. IE 3 oil changes before 2000 miles. The schedule is 300 and then 3000 - too infrequent at the early stage of this engine I think so hopefully it will pay off in the long run. It is remarkably rapid and seems quite happy being caned!
