RIght , I think i got excited too fast.. took the bike for MOt but they have failed it, TELLING me the SAME points I had told them to FIX before doing the MOT.. so it has been a WASTE of £30/-
I dont want to name the people who.. did that but it was one place recommended .
Its failed on Breaks, Chain Tension , the back indicators don't work (i have put new ones) ..
Anyhow Can anyone suggest a RE dealer or someone who can fix a few problems Please its 2003 bullet 500cc..

If it were me I'd go back to the outfit that supposedly fixed it the first time for satisfaction.

If I've got the gist of this then it was the very same people who tested it that were supposed to have rectified the faults ( but didn't) that YOU told them about BEFORE testing it !!...and then failed it ---Phew !!..........So where does the chain come into the MoT then ??..Examiners discretion I suppose ??

Bik - if you paid them money to sort these things and they didn't do their job properly and gave you a fail I would kick up a massive fuss. Get them to sort it, learn your lesson and in future use someone else. Having said that I would learn to adjust your chain yourself, its easy enough and in my book it's just throwing money away paying someone else to do it.

Sounds like you should have booked the bike in for a pre-mot or a service and a mot where they should knock £30 off the service because it covers more than the mot.

I think I'd sneak down there and burn the place down. How on earth can that be called fair trading? You asked them to fix stuff and then they fail their own work on the MOT? Cowboys. Fraudsters.
Name the shyster workshop so nobody else gets shafted...

Yes, definitely a case for a 'Name and shame'. People who want to take the pi** should also face the consequences. Regards, Paul.

I live in Birmingham in smethwick.
Well , I had asked them to fix the breaks and the elctric problem before doing the MOT .. as I knew it will fail the MOT.. what do they do they do the MOT and then hand me the failure certificate.. WHY did they have to do the mot when I had already told them.
Anyway someone suggestted CHas MAnn in kings nortan, so now i have left the bike with them and they have promised they will fix it and re-do the MOT .. so lets see what happens now ..

Alan R :- Yes you got it right.. well I guess it was the examiners discretion, anyway I took to someone else and they say there is nothing wrong with the chain

so no idea what is going on there..
Jaffa90 :- yes, thats what i thought they would do, when i ring them and tell them i need the two things fixed as I could not find anything else wrong with the bike.. the best is the guy also put it on the Job sheet.. it says Repair:- break, back indicators- MOT.. I guess these guys were only interested in the £30/-
Exile :- I might just do that ..
vespa66:- Birmingham , smethwick..
Thank you everyone
