I need to change the gearbox sprocket on my 59 Super Meteor and am having problems trying to undo the 2" nut on the engine primary drive sprocket. I've locked the back wheel and put it in 4th gear. I got the nut off the rotor no problem and removed that and the stator. The engine sprocket nut is on so tight that the clutch slips before the nut will come loose - any suggestions please? Thanks for looking - Kevin

Hi. I use a pneumatic impact driver on mine. Can take a while but it spins off in the end. Or a socket with breaker bar and a sharp tap with a hammer. Ed

All sorted now - had to resort to a couple of rags wedged between the primary chain and the sprockets.
