Hi all,
Please could I request some electrical information. I want to add an indicator and neutral warning lights and unsure of what wires to connect to. I also want to light the speedometer that is a smith's replica. I have bought an LED light with a resistor to solder to it, but again unsure which wires to tap into. Any help greatly appreciated.

It rather depends on what bike you have.

A neutral warning light would be difficult. There's no facility for a switch in the 4 speed box. Not impossible I suppose but......

the classic 350 has 37 neutral gears , maybe a light to say when you were in drive would be easier?

--------- fit a 5-speed box.. This has a neutral switch as standard PLUS you will get a more flexible and smoother ride....It's fully interchangeable but might need an adapter for the clutch shaft ??................ ALAN (Lancs), you know when you're in gear with the 4-speeder because that's when the piston crown comes off LoL !!!

the old indian bullets have a visual "in gear" indicator , a needle that jumps between zero and sixty five MPH (is that why they called it the 65?)

Hi Guys,
Thanks for the replies, but if you could help. OK so a neutral light sounds difficult, but surely an indicator(s) light should be possible. Also I want to light the 'Smith's' replica speedometer using an LED. I have the LED and a resistor to solder to it, but which wire to tap into.
Oh the 5 speed gearbox sounds interesting, but where from and is it difficult to fit?
Again many thanks, and any help would be greatly appreciated.

there is a "led" indicator fix kit posted in a post below , this has 3 wires , one to left indicator , one to right indicator one to LED warning light and then add an earth wire from the led idiot light ,all this wiring can be done in the cascette and will give you a led idiot lamp , that can be used with std indicator bulbs or with LED ones (with resistors or different f/unit)
