i asked a question a couple of months ago asking if the later disc brake fork legs would fit the early type forks (2007) well yes they do as i have just fitted them with a disc brake set up.
the only thing i need now is the speedo drive as this is different than the drum brake! which i have just ordered for are host.

Thanks John, useful info. We (I) always suppose that the Indian bikes will be updated the easy way, that is just modified rather than totally changed but it's good to have that confirmed! REgards, Mark

Hi John, just for clarification, when you say 'legs' are you referring to the complete unit (i.e. stanchion, slider, spring etc) which you have found will fit the earlier casquette and bottom yoke, or do you mean the later disc sliders will fit the earlier stanchions and internals?

the sliders that hold the calliper and wheel will fit the early fork tubes

If this works it should show my 2003 Sixty5 with disc conversion. (I didn`t do it, by the way!)

my old bullet Image from memory I just had to grind the big "lump" of a lug that held the brake backplate still

Thanks Alan & John. I still have to work-out whether my (much) later one-piece sliders, without the separate spindle clamps, will fit my 2003 stanchions. When I have the chance, the spanners will be coming out!
