Hi Alan r ,can't provide photo, it's a plastic pipe connecting to a metal stub on the oil tank on a classic bike. Need to seal clamp connection as plastic has stretched

Jubilee hose clip, get them from your local car spares shop/motor factor.

...maybe some of that white PTFE plumbers tape around the metal pipe? Get it in b&q, screwfix etc.

Whew.. complicated. Your options are many:
1. Tighten jubilee clip...
2. Buy a new piece of plastic tube...

Hi guys------- Sorry but I'm still trying to fathom out where these plastic pipes ( or pipe ) are and what is this "stub" that's mentioned ??..I've 2 Classic 500's and don't see any.......Mind you, I've just had an "Invitation" from HM Gov. to "Apply" for a State Pension ( Yes, I'm 65 this August) so you could put it down to}-- Auld Fartybagz Syndrome !!.... JENKS, I'd be interested to know why you can't post a photo ??..... If you yourself can't ( no camera or no experience etc.) then a relation or friend could post on your behalf........... One picture, 1000 words etc....

Heat the end of the plastic pipe in a cup of boiling water with the hose clip attached, slip it onto the stub while its still soft then tighten the clip. But do as someone suggests fit a new pipe of pipe first

Nip down to your local tropical fish supplier, they usually have a large supply of various size plastic tube...
You need a short piece of tube with an internal diameter that fits tightly on the stub and with an outside diameter that will fit tight in your existing tube..
Creating a sleeve on which you tighten the clip...
