Hi Chaps, I'm after some Lucas Magdyno help. Can anyone tell me the thread used on the 4 front cover screws and the 2 dynamo strap screws as I need to clean the threads as they have been partialy cross threaded.
Cheers, Chris.

Hi matey---------- my guess is the front cover screws will be a BA thread form (common for British electrical equipment in general until metric-- 1/8" (3mm) dia will be 5BA. The strap screws could be BSF or even a cycle thread. Give our hosts a call-------- their "Techno" lads are pretty clued-up ( Well, perhaps not pretty, but you know what I mean ).

Thanks Alan, I think I've sussed it, a 1/4 BSW tap fits the dyno strap screw holes and I've now sorted that one. The cover screws appear like you say, to be 2BA. I tried a 2BA screw in the undamaged holes and it fits perfectly but I'll have to get a 2BA tap to be sure.Cheers, Chris.

Hello matey---glad to have been of service. If you are buying a new tap try "Tracy Tools"----
http://www.google.co.uk/search?aq=f&sou ... racy+tools ----- They specialise in postal service & card payment. I have used them for my Model Engineering Tools for over 15 years now and can recommend them.
