Hi, I am having to re-make the ignition timing advance unit on my '61 Redich Bullet. Does anyone know how many degrees of advance the unit gives? Another way to get the same info is to find the standard piston distance btdc when fully advanced.

The 350 is usually timed statically at 7/16" to 1/2" before TDC. As long as you set the advance unit fully open at this advance where it retard s it to isn't that important.

Thanks Simon. I will set up the advanced timing to that and then adjust the mechanism to make the tickover timing good and smooth.
