upon stripping the crankshaft I found the main bearings are bright green in colour. I have never known this before so I did some research and found these bearings were quite rare as they were only factory fitted once a year on the first of April. I do feel a fool. Big Al

Mine were orange & when I tsted them I got a chipped tooth

You've been misinformed. The green ones are only fitted on St Patrick's Day!
