Bertie could do with a paint job anyway so I've been toying with the idea for some time now with giving Bertie a new look, it don't want to go bobber or Harley style but was thinking of something more traditional and was very impressed with the new GT when I saw it at the Excel show the other week, however since then it seems the RE world has gone GT mad and I don't want Bertie to become a cheap copy amongst hoards of flashy clones, I have seen the Indians posting photos on various RE Facebook pages and they done some fantastic paint jobs with only minor changes like different mud guards, so back to the internet for inspiration. Any one else done this, was it a success or failure ?

Sorry forgot to ask, I always fancied whitewalls our white painted lettering, what's your thoughts on these, cool or tacky ?

Hands off Bertie.. I think he looks just right as he is... Find yourself another project to mess with but leave Bertrum alone.. White wall tyres indeed...

Well you wanted an opinion...

I bought some tyre paint pens once, one white, one gold.

Outlined the lettering on the tyres and they did look impressive. for about two months, then the white started to retain dirt, whilst the gold just wore off.

It was ok with reapplication, but after doing this 2-3 times, I gave up!

Tornado's 'getting older' with retro fitted parts, and I am very pleased with the progress! Good luck with Bertie!
