have a 2004 500 bullet and the choke is rather finicky. can put the choke on (raising the plunger) but it wont easily depress (lowering the plunger)by use of the lever. I can push the plunger down easily with direct pressure on the top of the plunger. Makes the lever pretty useless. Like the set up on my 350 where there is a knob on top of the plunger to pull and push. Need to either get the choke lever working better or replicate the 350 set up. Ant advice?

The 350 arrangement is better and will fit if you can find one (friend of mine did it).
Mr H just shows the lever arrangement in the parts listing.
Might be worth ringing him.

Dear Pete, I have a spare micarb from my 350 - never thought to try the choke mechanism in the 500 carb. Will it swap out and fit the 500 micarb?

Yes, straight swop as far as I remember.

the 350 plunger is a few millimeters shorter, but otherwise threads and diameter match. think it will work?

ignore last post. the 350 plunger works fine in the 500 micarb.
thanks
