Sure this has been asked a million times but I've forgotten, but please can someone tell me the amount of slack to set the chain to when the bike is on the centre stand....thanks, Bertie.

I asked this about three months ago. I was told minimum 30-35 mm. (1½ inch) So I set it there and have no problems..

The workshop manual says 25/30mm along the TOP run of the chain. Which is rather difficult with the chain guard in position.

A touch more is better than too tight but 1 -1.5 inch is about right.
If it gets too slack it will effect the gearchange adversely (no, I don't know why)
