HI ENFIELD RIDERS,WHEN YOU LAST BROKEDOWN AT THE SIDE OF THE ROAD.WHAT WAS THE CAUSE,IT WOULD BE INTERESTING TOO KNOW THE CAUSE.WAITING FOR YOUR REPLIES.

Back light, number plate and indicator assembly fell off.

Luckily the bolt was found down the road.

The clutch backplate parted company with the clutch spring posts on my 1953 700cc Meteor. I had had them welded up (the original set up just has them peened over,) some years previously but I got them seriously sorted this time! If there's a moral to the tale it's probably that stronger clutch springs can have unintended consequences!

Blown piston on the 500. Back home on the back of an AA wagon, they were brilliant.

HI,SCALYBACK,I HAD THE SAME PROBLEM.CURED IT BY USING A LONG STUD,LOCKTIGHT IN PLACE,USE ANYLOCK NUT TOO HOLD NUMBER PLATE IN PLACE.NO TROUBLE SINCE.

HI, MIDGE.WAS THE PISTON AN ORIGONAL INDIAN,ITEM.THEY ARE KNOWN TO BE A LITTLE BIT FRAGILE.

Front wheel spindle broke, so the wheel rubbed on the mudguard. (Sidecar bike, yr 2007 500cc)
The RAC put it on back of their truck to get it home. I am resisting the temptation to get the chair in the air as much since then, as it probably put a bit extra strain on. A pity....

Coil wire came adrift due to faulty spade connector. Fixed it myself at the roadside. ps. PLEASE DON'T SHOUT.....

1. Ignition coil failure
2. Damp in the points

Last three times all fixed by me at roadside.

1)Clutch cable replaced with spare I carry.

2)Failed Amp meter open circuit. Cure Unplugged it cut wires off and joined together tapped and plugged back in to complete circuit.

3)Unusual one broken spark plug cap. Removed cap and cut inch of covering of HT lead and wrapped it around top of plug
