Hello Folk's..Right Have Not used My Indian AVL Machismo 350 much Lately so on to days Run out after beeing left down the garden under a sheet for a month..It statred 1st Kick as usal ...But I thought I will Just Check The Petrol tank inside..On Shineing My tourch in amoungst the Rust & Old Paint I saw a Multiple of "a Deep Purple almost metal flake Patchs on the Inside of The Tank, Allmost transluint and Glowing".... Now haveing Never seen this Before ?? Is it The Lesser Spotted Tank Mould?..Ethonal Bug's..Rust?/...Oh The Bike ran a Bit Slow till I top up with Fresh Petrol then Went Great & ran Ok.... I will Have A Look again Soon But It was sure Preaty ..So Q: "a Deep Purple almost metal flake Patchs on the Inside of The Tank, Allmost transluint and Glowing"... "What is it??" ;0)

It could be bacterial growth in the Ethanol content, some research suggests it's potentially nasty. This stuff: http://mystarbrite.com/public/catalogs/ ... LIT010.pdf is supposed to prevent formation and has an interesting article on it.

Thank's For the "PDF Read" Scary Stuff I would of thought for Owt' Modern..The Enfield & its Carb seem's Ok after a Good Blast and a Top up of Fresh Fuel...I Presume any Crap that Dont Block the Jets will Be Burnt & Lilled in Action.......Now Then My Classic Std 98 350 has been Stood longer But its Petrol Has Valve Master in & a Pinch o 2st Oil (For Lay ups) I Will Check that this Week & See if they is simuler Growth or Not!...
