Hi I need to replace my valve guides and have the valve seats recut on my Velocette 500. Does anyone know where I could get this done in the south of Birmingham area? as all my contacts have either gone out of business or retired.

Hi BIG AL------------ not quite South Brum but over here in TELFORD we all use these people}----- http://www.head-technique.co.uk/ ----------- they've done several Enfield and BSA heads to my certain knowledge....They're not far off the M54 either..........

Hi Alan thank you so much for that. As we live by M5 J4 that would be no problem to get to. I know its a Velocette but I do own a rather nice 1960 Connie and I`m on this site every day so I knew that this would be the place to ask the question.
May I say a big thank you for your help Alan

You could nip up the M42 to Kegworth and use SEP Engineering, I've used them and they're very good.

Hi BIG AL -------------- just make sure that the head is stripped of all studs etc on the top area ( Rocker cover studs ) and that you have all the new parts required to complete the job as they don't supply spares etc.................. They've been here for quite some time and always have a good turnover each week---------- These are the people I use for re-bores...BRADBURY ENGINEERING...Their web site is a bit weak but their engineering is A-OK !!!}---http://www.classicandvintageengines.co. ... actus.html -----------
