well ive finally got round to fitting my ebc disc and ferodo pads purchased from mr h in his 10% bargain weekend in december ,you may think why swiss cheese well thats what the domed socket cap screws were when removing the old standard disc ,all hexagons rounded and yes i used the correct allen key ,so outcame the centre punch that soon made short work of the swiss cheese ,now i have lovely stainless dscs and no swiss cheese.atb paul and yes i did locktite the new dscs,s

Hi Paul, what I have found over the years is that these type of cap screws will usually round off if you just use a hex bar on them. I have made up a number of hex drivers to fit in my impact driver and with a good hit they usually undo without problems

Try "jumping" the heads a few times with a heavy hammer....That usually dislodges the initial "grip"------

if you have used Loctite , you may have to heat the bolt with a torch to soften the Loctite ,
