h ave a bike where i cannot reach the engine oil drain plug.is there a method of sucking oil out
help please

You don't mention what bike it is but basically yes, just get an oil sucker (bit like a grease gun) and suck the oil out of the oil tank. If it's an RE pre EFI you should also drain the timing chest by removing the quill bolt. You'll not get it all out but very nearly. Get it hot before you do it but wear gloves as everything will get hot. Marine engines are routinely drained like this as it's messy to drop the oil into the bilge.

You could buy a cheap oil syphon from Halfords it looks like a big cake syringe with a tube on the end you put the tube in the oil tank right to the bottom and suck out the oil as much as possible ive used them for quick 1000 mile oil changes between the 2000 mile full service when I also change oil filter too save wear & tear on the drain plugs.

There are also small punps which have a shaft that is fitted into the chuck of an electric drill; then one tube is inserted into the sump and the other into a container. Cost about $20 AUS from most large hardware stores.
