Can any body help me ? I have two engines I need to know the year of, numbers are G2/19158 and G2/27708 both are 350's
Rick, the only certain way is to join the Royal Enfield Owners Club. It's not expensive and you can do it online. They have the Factory records. Graham Scarth the Machine Dating Officer will find the numbers if you send a pencil rubbing of the numbers, he's very good and has sorted out a load of errors in the original records recently. G2 is the prefix for a Redditch 350 JS for a 500. (Some Indian engines have been converted to 500s and not restamped).
