Hi, New to the forum. Is there anybody out there that has experience of extending a RE swingarm by 4". Any tips or advise would be welcome.

The Interceptor swing arm is about 100mm longer, what they did there was use the same swing arm but made the end plates longer. If you look at the Super Meteor plates the axle is under the shocker mount but on the Interceptor it is back about 100mm

Hi Grusome. Have you been reading BSH? If you have let me know how they got that 5.00 tyre on with out touching the chain.
I'm sure someone asked this question a few months ago or asked about the thickness of the tubing. Do a search on technical section

Cheers guys. rather than replacing the swingarm I am looking at modifying the standard one and was wondering if anyone on the forum had done this before.

Hi grusome I have been contemplating extending a bullet swinging arm as next year I,m going to mono shock my 500 bullet , I'm contemplating either making some slugs up to slug the extra length with tubing of the same diameter and also filling the tube where the slug runs at various lengths this sounds complicated because it is although a good welder can do these things although I'm thinking I might make a box section swinging arm I see someone mentioned BHS mag their have been loads of bullet bobbers in 100 0/0 biker too,I suppose that by lengthening the swinging arm you can make it wider to take a wider section rear tyre although I'm sure our host used to do a wider swinger for trials bikes anyway good luck Paul.

He says nothing about a longer swinging arm but this must have been done to suit the longer shocks. It looks absolutely horrible, and that's being generous!
