Hi guys,..Found this entry in the "Parallel Universe" version of our forum}--------- Hello, I'm not new to this forum and every morning when I start my 500 Bullet ( first time--every time) I get clouds of no-smoke from the exhaust...This can last anything up to the whole of the day's journey..I've not bought everything from our hosts and this still won't cure the problem...I religiously don't tinker, the tappets have not been touched, none of my mechanic friends have given an opinion but still this embarrassing situation exists...... The bike is exactly as it left the factory ie}-- in perfect, top-quality trim.......So what can I do ??...If this situation continues I will have to consider not buying a modern bike, it's as bad as that !! ..............

Like most things mechanical the solution is simple, though can be a somewhat lengthily process. You need to keep mending it until the desired fault manifests itself. You may not succeed for weeks but persevere, and I guarantee, it will break if you mend it enough.

The interesting thing with these machines is despite their simplicity they can produce little bugs that take ages to sort out. Usually something simple but difficult to find. Herein lies the need to tinker. S:)

I share your pain Alan; sometimes when I am gently moving the piston to TDC for starting; IT STARTS without my trying to use the kick-starter; it`s not fair, I want to kick it over twenty times to start it. I might have to pull it to pieces to find the problem.
