Just bought a 2009 EFI. When accelerating it has a very noticable mechanical chatter that I don't think can be normal. As it's still under guarantee I'd be grateful for any comments as to what's causing it or is it normal?

My 2011 EFI has 1,600km and it rattles almost as much as my pre EFI. Hydraulic tappets don't seem to make a difference. My dealer says it is the rockers and I should use 15W/50 instead of the present 15W/40. In 5th at around 85k/h, I can't hear it anymore, but mostly due to wind noise. since I have almost two years warranty to go, I just drive it with a gentle throttle. Pulled up to 113 yesterday, but that was scary enough for me.
If anyone out there has an answer, love to hear from you.

Without hearing it, cant help, but a new bike even an Enfield should not make any "noticeable clatter", hopefully you can get someone to listern to it before you take it back

Hello there LLYN GUEVARA }-----As it's a 2009 bike, and I'm guessing it's a 3-year warranty ?? ----- then why not take it back ASAP whilst the cover is still in force ?? You can always "tinker" with it to your hearts content at any time later on. What's the point of having a warranty if you're not going to make use of it ?? IMHO that is.
