Got the needle

Bertie has been holding back when running at a steady speed and reasonably high but steady revs suggesting fuel starvation, took the carb (Amal concentric mk1) off today to find out why, well as I removed the slide and choke the needle feel out, it had come off of its clip, I'm just puzzled how the thing ran at all with the pin floating around inside the carb, anyway took the opportunity to clean the carb up a bit and put it all back together, haven't been out on a test ride yet as it hasn't stopped raining so fingers crossed, the only thing I wish I had done was tweak the clip up a bit to make it a tighter fit, oh well maybe next time the tank is off!
