Chasing electrical gremlins in a 1A Inter I have decided to rewire it before the weekend because it needs to be run in before the Philip Island GP run/ride in 2 weeks. What I'm not sure of is the existing rectifier wiring without pulling the loom and splitting it. It has the original type rectifier and Zenner which is working fine. The rectifier is the round steel disc type with 3 connectors. Does anybody know which wire goes where, top/middle and the bottom one. I assume one is negative, another positive and one goes to the Zenner? Any thoughts? So Gwilly isn't too concerned I'm going back to bed

Norm,
Trying to picture this, I'll give it a go. Assuming +ve (positive) earth. The centre spade connection (if it has one) under the bolt head is an earth as is the mounting stud. The middle spade of the 3 discs goes the battery (not earth side) and the other two spades of the 3 discs go to the alternator (deosn't matter which way around). Alternator wires usually have some combination of green, yellow and white. The zenor will be in parallel with the battery. Sorry if I'm telling you stuff you already know. Any help?

Thanks Paul, I can't find it but I'm about ready to pitch it all and fit a Boyer and be done with it. We have moved forward from Zenners these days anyway
