Ideas please, for a 2003 sixty five, after having its horn pack up (now replaced) decided to try clean the horn button in the switch gear ( all was well untill the spring and ball bearing shot into space never to be seen again) Now it dont have a spark (is like the christmas lights, they worked when i put em away) The battery fitted is a gell one and fully charged all the lights and horn works but don't have a spark. Have done the usual - changed the spark plug - tried my spare HT lead then me spare coil, have pulled all terminal connections apart and claened with a spray contact cleaner, still no spark, however i have a boyer system fitted which was on the bike when i got it, am wondering if the black box has decided to stop working and should replace the box bit, any one had this problem what was it. guru

Hi Guys----------- GURU, you're not alone there matey !! Did exactly the same on my Bullet 65 a few years ago in front of the local Bikers meeting, no less !! The extension on my old fashioned gauntlets had tripped the red switch.... Me being "Mr Fixit" didn't see that little clue and promptly gave a very convincing demo. of how to trace an electrical fault ( ie no power to the CB points) all the way up into the main wiring loom....As I didn't know where it went from there I then gave another "Bikers Master Class" as to how we jury-rig a lead from the battery to the points.......HOo-RAY it started so I bowed and went home...Sitting at the Dining table at 02.00hrs and tracing the lead in the wiring diagramme with my stubby finger, can you guess where it went to ??----------------------------------- "Emergency cut-out Switch" is said in a taunting sort of way..So I went out to the bike---pulled the jury-rig wiring off ---- identified this damm red switch, and flicked it to "ON"-------------- No prizes for guessing if the bike started or not !!!............ JEEZUZ H **** (for those in the know it was at the old meetings at THE WHEEL at WORFIELD---- sadly missed !!)

Regarding the kill-switch, mine has a blob of fluorescent paint that shows if the switch has been moved, but it covered when in normal use. It is an easy visual aid that has helped me a few times.
