There are probably a few different ways to post a picture on this site but all have to use HTML code to appear on this particular forum..

One way is to use TINYPIC.. click on any frame and bookmark the site for easy access when required..

I like to keep all pictures on my computer.. others will upload to photobucket or iCloud…whatever..

Click on CHOOSE FILE. Find your picture, video, whatever and click on it…

Image

With your picture reference highlighted press CHOOSE.. bottom right..

Next step, choose file type.. This case IMAGE…

Image

Now choose RESIZE 640X480 important as bigger will not fit on the forum width and messes with the text line length…

Image

Press UPLOAD and you will be presented with a "catchpa" to keep out machine generated spam..

Image

Share this image: See the picture your sending.. place your cursor just in front of the first digit HTML CODE and left click (or tap the pad on a lap top). The code should highlight in BLACK. Copy this code. right click mouse or Ctrl + C together on the key board. (Cmd + C on a Mac).

Image

Write your message or reply into the forum page and when ready for the picture Right Click and paste, or Ctrl + V together (Cmd+V on a Mac)
Your picture will appear as Code in the message but will turn into a picture when posted and the HTML code is acted upon.

Just a Tip… If like me you take more than 15mins to type and assemble your post, then copy everything before pressing the POST BUTTON..

Reason being you will have been TIMED OUT and in signing in again, your post will be lost with a new inbox appearing…

I often write up using (i writer) or (note pad) whatever, highlight and copy all text and drop into the inbox as a whole.. Never caught out by the timer that way…. Hope this is helpful to some of you. regards gwilly

Hi guys-----------that's the idea !! Easy-peezy plus people can't access your files by cliking onto the image --as is possible with some other methods...We seem to be developing a sub-culture, feline owners club as well ??---------

Thanks Alan's……I Have noticed a worrying trend for cats to be in the vicinity of disassembled machinery…

They always pretend to be asleep when approached.. So i have trawled the net in search of evidence..

Sure enough American cats are way advanced, some having set up business as mechanics.

Ok switch off Erv, Yup Thars ya Trouble..

Yeh i got it..Pass that 17 mil wrench buddy…

So if you find somethings apparently fallen off the enfield overnight, just check the cats paws for oil stains…

You have been warned… gwilly.
