Progress on my 1950 Model G which I bought as a basket case has gone well and is now nearing completion. Engine is running well after a full rebuild and I even have a set of gears. It runs very well and sounds wonderful.
The only problem I have is the order of parts for the distance tube and the washer assembly on the primary case. I havent found any drawings of the assembly and how it all should fit together to make an oiltight case seal with the outer case.
Can anyone help me with a sketch or drawing of the order in which the parts go please.

Hopefully I have been able to post a photo of the bike in nearly completed condition, only a bit of final work to finish.

Sorry can't help with the spacer
etc. but allow me me to be the
first to compliment your superb
Model G 'bike and excellent pix.
Have the '50 500 twin unfortunally
not complete, but with same quaint
gearbox. The forks were machined
7" extended, hence the unique front
fender like your's has long gone.
Nice bike!

Thanks for your comment Gordon. Yes the front fender is a subject in itself, like Marmite. This is my first project for 30 years and I have loved every minute of doing it but now just sorting the final touches to finish it off. It runs beautifully and sounds like a real bike should. Thanks again for the compliment.

Sidey, as no-one has answered your original query (and I know very little about Gs,) why not email our Hosts? They really are very good on this sort of enquiry about assembly order!
