Hi all,

I removed the bump plate from under the engine on my new woodsman.

It is newly registered, but has been hanging around at the dealer for a few months as far as I know.

there seems to be some putty like stuff along the centre of the
engine which had been over painted with silver paint.

Is this something that the factory do or is there something amiss on a bike sold as new?

have enclosed two pics.

The VIN says november 2012, so it can't be too old. but why the putty stuff guys?

Certainly not factory, never seen it before, even though the Indians do dogy stuff I doubt they would do anything like that at the factory. My guess is it had an oil leak and somebody has decided it was easier to convert to a woodsman and fit a bash plate to hide it. 2012 and it should still be under warranty
