hi all,was going for ride today started her up bit of smoke keep the revs medium chucked a load of oil out of breather. dip now showing low. was out last week for a ride 40 mileish when home topped the oil to half full as used a bit, dont think i over filled her could i be having problems with oil pump etc or just wet sumping etc your help much appreciated phil

In my experience these machines burn very little oil and require minimal topping up between changes. Bearing in mind how little oil they hold it is easy to overfill, that what it sounds like to me. Wet sumping is a common problem too, hence a bit of smoke whenever they've been stood for a week or two.

Try running a 612 with an Ace piston, 3mm to a killometer
