Hi All, Can you reuse Interceptor cross rings and with the gap fully closed what height should they sit above the barrel? I know they must be matched to piston size.

Hi Norm, I re used them on mine and they seemed to seal ok, although I must admit after getting the thing to run a few years back, I still haven't got round to getting it on the road, so it hasn't been tested in anger, only run up and down the lane a few time. I think you just need a couple of thou 'crush' between the Cross rings and the head. If I find anything more specific in my books, I will let you know. Cheers, Paul.

Yes, the Cross ring is re-usable but must be matched to bore size. I think the assembled height (measured as the gap when head is torqued down,) should be in the manual. Which is on the Ozemate Interceptor Owners Site. REgards, Mark

Thanks Paul and Mark I assumed they would be reuseable, I only pulled it down yesterday so will probably be a couple of weeks before I put it back together.
