Hi Alan. Looks like an interesting prospect, but I am still having tremendous fun with my old 4 speed model and I don't think my other half would agree to me acquiring yet another toy! Might pop into the dealer to have a look at it, though. This is a very upmarket HD dealer and it would be fun to walk in there in my battered old jeans and leather jacket, dripping a mixture of water and oil on their clean floor! N0 - mustn't have such wicked thoughts at my age.

I'd love to pull up on a dirty, smelly rat-bike Harley and ask the price of the Enfield as I wanted something better. Sadly, my mate sold his HD a couple of months ago.

Looks good for the asking price still only £500 I wonder if someone traded it in for a new Harley then.

Oh dear !!-----------looks like the "market" has caught onto it now.  £1,000+ at the mo.  yes Barry_Q, what a lovely, wicked idea. Pop in and ask them what condition the spragg is in ??  Hi Winkie----is this the HD shop at Chapel Ash ??  I can't afford it anyway--or so she tells me !!

Hi Alan. Yes - this looks to be the HD emporium in Chapel Ash, I went in there once a few years ago just to browse around but was afraid to touch anything in case I made it dirty. It will be interesting to see the final price, but, like you, my other half tells me I can't afford it anyway!

I bet they don't have it on display in the main showroom!!

Hmmmm. There seems to be a high level of interest in this Enfield (and rightly so). I'm willing to be that this Enfield sells before the Dealers sell another Harley!

It's a pity that I (or a number other others who frequent here) don't live in the area. It would be an interesting idea to organise a group of us to go into the Dealers and ask to see the Enfield.  I'd have to ponder the feelings of the Dealers when we'd totally ignored the Harleys and drooled over the Enfield that the Dealers saw unfit to list as stock.

Hi All

I have actually been to view this bike this afternoon.

It is exactly as described and well used. Wheel rims, spokes, and hubs all good.  This will make a nice cosmetic project for someone.

It is a good starter, (They could not start it, but I did!)  It runs very sweetly. starts on the button straight away after running for a couple of minutes and ticks over beutifuly.   It is fitted with a Dellorto carb with manual choke.

I was tempted but the price is rising quickly!

Regards to all. this is my first posting.

Hi Kmac ----- well done that man! Nice to see you got it started and they didn't. Do you have an Enfield or any bike at all ?  Why not have a meet-up at the bikers cafe' at QUATT, on the Bridgenorth--Kidderminster Rd some time? Same applies to the "PERTON KID" --- sorry matey, forgotten your handle !! and any others in the area. Be seeing you-------------
