I have a 350 with trials trim with 19 inch rims which currently have continental tkc 80s on size 110/80/19.I now require 2 new tyres and tkc 80's in this size are sooo expensive!but i've noticed cheap knobblies size 110/90/19 half the price of tkc 80's! will these fit?

Knobblies take a bit of getting used to on tarmac. They tend to wander about a bit and don't give the grip of more conventional tread patterns.b

"a bit of getting used to" - in my case about 200 miles! Felt like I was on rails until they settled down, but now my 4" Ensign tyres give me all the grip I need, for my riding style that is

Bess, the aspect ratio of the replacement tyres is greater than the TKCs (by 10 per cent) which means there'll be a little less clearance. If you're considering Ensign Universals (about half the price), I installed these in 3.50-19 on my trials-trim 500cc machine (I have a 350cc now with TKCs) and found them to be excellent grippy tyres with good cornering and steering. Clearance was tight (I turned down the mudguard nuts on my lathe by a couple of mm to give a bit more) but the bigger tyre gave the bike a very nice rolling 'presence'. Easy to fit too if you want to do it yourself.

Hi guys, -------- BESS, if or when you do fit some could you come back on here and let us know your thoughts ??-------- I am currently re-building a Classic 500 as a 1950s' Army Despatch Riders machine for the Suez Canal period and those ensigns would def. look the part !!---- Cheers.

The tyres i was looking at were michelin ac10 110/90/19,will they fit ok? They are only £46!I know they have an agressive tread but i like the look of them, similar to tkc 80's.I dont mind the vibrations!

They are motorcross tyres. I wouldn't use them on tarmac even though they do seem to be road legal.
