hi has anybody seen+bought a sprag clutch off the guy selling them on e-bay he says they are more heavy duty? 14 segment  standard one is  18

 A few out here started fitting sprags from 91/2 inch Borg Warner 35 torque converter which were very cheap compared to what was being charged for the genuine ones. Can't remember how good they were but haven't heard much about sprags here for a while because I think most have given up

Guessing that fewer segments will take more load on each component, as for the "Borgs" probably fail more but its cost/time

Pleased to report my spragg works perfectly and always has. So far. The way to a happy spragg is to treat them right and always stop the motor with the decompressor.

My Electra X sprag still works.....but my decompressor doesn't!  Gotta love these bikes!!  Or you'd go mad!!!

Hi guys-------- with regards to this E-bay advert, I asked the seller to give me the name of the manufacturer and the bearing No. etched on the race. By way of reply he said to "check-out my feed back and all the details are in the listing"---which they are not---that's why I asked. Have a go yourself but in my opinion it was a simple enough question which he's not answering. Make of that what you will but it's a lot of dosh for the unknown.
