Every now and then the engine of my 2002 Bullet continues running after I switch off at the ignition key. However it stops immediately when I switch the "conact-breaker" button. I assume that the ignition switch is faulty - but does this matter as long as I ensure that the breaker switch is switched off when the bike is not running?
What with all this dry weather it is not my old bug-bear "water in the works" (and neither have I washed AD02 recently).
Low tech stuff I know, but comments welcome.

Hello Stephen ----- 1st) Exactly what model is your bike ?? 2nd) Just to clarify your terminology }---- Is this "Contact-Breaker button" on the R/H handlebar switchgear and colored RED ?? and you turn it away from the mid-position to stop the engine ?? 3rd) When this fault occurs can you rev the engine up and down and control it in the usual manner with the twistgrip ?? If the answer to No3 is "yes" then it's most likely you have an intermittent fault within the ignition switch itself. That being the case then you don't want to be relying on a switch that might fail whilst in the middle of traffic etc. It's a relative small price to pay for peace of mind, I would say. Hope that's of some help, matey ??
