The carb inlet rubber on my Classic 500 has just expired after five years. Given that backfires in the past have blown the carburettor off, I don't think that's too bad.

I looked at the Parts Book Online, and found that I needed part number 143143. As they were only £1.80, I ordered two. As always, the order arrived promptly, and included a 2013 catalogue as requested. Lo and behold, part number 143143 (on Page 18) is £8.50.

Eh?

I don't get it.

I guess the message has to be check prices on-line and in the catalogue.

Part number 143143 is not in the book but as you say online for £1.80p,this is the inferior Indian made one.The book part number is AM/2622/123 as you know at £8.50p.+ p.p (last year £10.75p +p.p).This is a British made one.
