how do I get the worm nut off from the timing gears? Is it right or left hand thread? I've tried to take it off, but even in gear with the brake on, I can't get it broke loose.

---------- and tight !! Try putting a brass or copper wedge into the timing gears...Using the brake gives too much of a "wind-up" effect.....Looking ahead, I recommend using the latest Bonded neoprene seal type rather than the old cork plug.....

----------------- try using a parallel punch onto the corner of the hexagon... Remember it will want to be turned "CLOCKWISE" as you look at it..

Thanks guys - must have missed the reference to left hand threads - I've got it really tight as the result. Will try your rec and let you know how it goes
