As some of you have already noticed we have removed the “captcha” check which was designed to ensure a real person was making a posting rather than an automated piece of software posting spam (having to log in to make/reply to a post should mean that this check is no longer needed).
I would be interested to know if anyone is still suffering from the problem where a posting, or a reply to a posting, gets “lost”. If you are then please email me at [url=mailto:
t=_self]
with the date and time of the incident, what browser you are using and any other information that you think is useful.
Regards,
Graeme @ Hitchcocks

Graeme, when I first registered and posted I passed comment about the mathematical machinations necessary to satisfy the security surveillance dictated by the continued and possible superfluous imposition of the technique colloquially refered to, and also identified worldwide by the general description of "Captcha".
As a result of the effort needed to correctly manipulate the numerous numbers involved in the highly complex mathematical equations, I have now purchased both a scentific calculator and had a specially written software programme installed on my computermabob. Do you think you could see your way clear to reimbursing me for the huge costs involved in satisfying the needs of the Captcha function? I have checked my invoices and costs incurred to date amount to the rather grand sum of £0-1-11d. Including the Very Awful Tax.
Removes tongue from its position in cheek and runs for cover. LOL
PS. You have forgotten to delete the words "In order to prevent spam please complete the following captcha" from the screen. It has taken me 2 hours to establish that the captcha no longer functions.....put it down to my age and lack of alcohol.

Oh dear Mike,--------Now we know why you're "Mad". Not only being a "wordsmith"----current IN-PHRASE of politicians banging-on against media reporters,--- but using an old analogue calculator (does it have the little red wires for numbers ?) AND paid pre-decimal dosh for it as well. ( VAT back then was 5% I believe) STOP PRESS----Suez canal re-opened !! As Norm might say--"Strewth,mate". Don't worry---it caught me out as well. Lack of age and too much alcohol.

Mike,
There is a very good reason for leaving the info about filling in the captcha, if like you, it takes them 2 hours to work out it isn't needed they give up and move on to annoy somebody else
