Bullet 350/500 mudguards

Quite likely a simple answer, but why does the 350 have deeply valanced mudguards and the 500 have thinner sportier ones? Also are they interchangeable

hi midge, i think the deep valance mudguards are an indian design as i,ve never seen them on any english model,the other answer is the slim mudguard will fit a 350 but you need longer stays on the front and the 500 style rear will also fit the 350 with either style of rear stay unless someone knows different ? atb paul.

Yes, you can swap them if you have a set of each. You need to swap and change the stays a bit. They often left over from trials or cafe conversions so not too difficult to source.

Hi guys--------- MIDGE, the 350 deep front 'guard is ideal I think for that old 1950's look on the Endfield (see our hosts 1950's looking bike)------

"I Think The answer lye's in the Fact (That in India) the 350 was allways the Never Changed Classic Motor as The Indian's had all ways built"..BUT! When in the 90's they Launched the Super Modern 500, They Gave it sportier Mudgaurds & Paint choice to pull it in to the 1960's...I Bought an Early 500 in 1993 and I think Only The 500 had the Chrome Tank & Twin Leading shoe...Cheers all:Craig
