I am nearing the end of restoring a 1938 S2, its the OHV version with the switch in the headlight. I am desperately in need of an exhaust and silencer, tried all the usual suppliers and no-one can supply an original unit. The original silencer was either a 'fish tail' pattern or cigar shape, both styles seem to have been supplied at the time. I can obtain a modern version of the cigar shape but can't locate an exhaust. Does anyone have one to sell, does anyone have one to loan me as a pattern from which I can have one made, alternatively, does anyone know which silencer from any other model which would fit. The exhaust stub on the cylinder head over which the silencer would need to fit is 1 5/8" diameter. Thanks

Sorry if you have tried this but l thought l saw one in Armours catalogue? Alternatively a special could be made, try Aldens (Google them). REgards, Mark

Hi guys----------- a bit late now perhaps but don't forget these forums get auto-scanned by spammers etc. so don't write your E-mail address in the correct format which can be machine-recognised but use "at" instead of @ and write any Nos. as a word as well..............every little bit helps !!!
