Direct lighting headlamp not working

Hi, I have a 500 es bullet with direct lighting and the headlamp has stopped working. Bulb ok connectors ok. Where do I go from here and yes i have tried it with the engine running.

Look under the seat at the part marked AC REGULATOR with the engine running check the ac input from the alternator and then feed out from the reg to switch gear. probably be the handlebar switch as these are exposed. unplug from behind headlamp,(turn handlebars to the left and look behind nacelle) Use avo or multi tester to check continuity through switch gear.

Forgot to mention. Headlamp flasher does not work either.

It will probably be the regulator / relay gadget under the seat. I 've taken to keeping a spare one in the tool roll now cos I seem to change it so often. Costs about a fiver from our hosts.

I've had the switch mechanism fall apart internally giving a similar problem.
Behind the headlight you can access the multi connector for the switch. Its a good place to check the switch operation, if you have a multimeter.
