Hi there, just been for a 15 mile ride on my Enfield Electra EFI, got back home and into the garage and the bike is covered in covered in all at the bike end, on closer inspection after a clean up oil is coming from behind the engine casing where the kick start is. I went for another ride in case it had been wet sumping but its just the same. Ive lost a considerable amount of oil as its only just visible on the sight glass, any ideas please or has anyone else had the same problem, Thanks,  Phil

Just to add that when the bike has cooled down and is on the stand nothing seeems to be dripping only when the engine is warm

 Hi Phil,

Don't get concerned about wet sumping, it is a wet sump motor, unlike previous Bullets. Is it leaking from a gasket join or from the kickstart oil seal. It is always hard to pick some oil leaks because the oil gets blown around so much

Hi Norm, thanks for the info, Ive had a bit of trouble with the kick start of recent, from cold you can never start it with the kick even when its hot its a one off whether it'll fire up using the kick. About 3 weeks ago I was trying to start it this way and there was a loud metallic crack.  Phil

Loud metallic crack?

That sounds like a clue to me.

Something has broken & needs to be looked at

 Phil,

I know nothing about these UCE's but I will go out on a limb and take a stab at a cracked outer cover. Let's know how you get on
