Greetings all,350 bullet bought in india 1993 shipped back Bombay-Belfast few months later. Few probs first year or so, oil pump spindle teeth worn(could be my fault for using too light engine oil) Exhaust valve burnt out(again could be my fault for adjusting tappets too tight) Anyway 20 years on iknow the bike pretty well by now.Last trip was to greece (crete) in july this year, no problems at all, bike was probably feeling at home with 40 deg. temp. Left the bike garaged in crete (this was planned) and will do the return in May 2013. Not bad for twenty year old bike. Sometimes we need to give them a little praise. Sorry for the lengthy first post. Will keep you informed.

Nice one lilo - belfast to crete on a 20 year old bullet is good going. If you blogged it let us know the link - love to see these bikes being used properly. My latest plan is to ride mine (07-350) down to the sahara later next year (steadily and not over the dunes of course) so any tips on mechanical alterations you may have made are always welcome.

Hi Rustygman, No real alterations, just made sure bike was ready- full service before the off, new points, plug, cables etc: Have made a few long trips on her before, few times to france, Spain twice and a previous trip to Greece 1996 with girlfriend (now wife) and full luggage (indian carriers fitted)again without probs. Always travelled with loads of spares but as is the way- never need em when you have em. Have faith in the bike, look after her and she looks after you. Finally as Zorba(the Greek) once said " A man needs a little madness or he never dares to cut the rope and be free" Good luck with your trip.
